PaigeTingey#natgeocollab Africa Earth’s Wild Home - 4 years of production, 33 countries, 2,086 days of filming, 3,300 hours of footage and 6 locations no film crew had ever set foot in before. This is what it took to make #AfricaEarthsWildHome, the new @National Geographic series - and I was lucky enough to spend a week in Africa with its showrunner, Gavin Boyland. There's nowhere else on Earth like Africa. Home to the largest hot desert, the deepest river, vast savannas, and creatures that are new to science. This series is the most complete and ambitious portrait of life across the continent ever made - and they did it while reducing the production's carbon footprint by 14% compared to similar projects. That last part is important! It's one thing to capture wildlife. It's another to do it with that level of intention about how you do it. Hearing Gavin talk about what it took to bring this to life and seeing a sneak peak for myself makes me confident the world is about to fall in love with series 🌍 Watch it now on Disney+ and Hulu! #natgeo
