PaigeTingey#natgeocollab LION is officially available to watch on Disney+ and Hulu! @National Geographic I spent a week in Kenya with Sophie Darlington and Faith Musembi - two of the women behind one of the most ambitious wildlife stories ever made. @NatGeoExpeditions @G Adventures They followed one lion pride for four years which is the longest a single pride has ever been followed on film. The result is LION, a four-part natural history series that follows a cub named Kio on his journey to becoming king. It’s the first time a lion’s full transformation, cub to king, has ever been captured. From the team that brought you “The Lion King” (Jon Favreau directing) and BBC Natural History’s Mike Gunton, with a score by Hans Zimmer. The scale of what it took to bring this story to life is unmatched by anything I’ve seen. After four years in the field, Sophie and Faith became connected to Kio and the pride that couldn’t have been accomplished in any other way. This isn’t traditional wildlife filmmaking. This 4 part series is a drama rooted in documentary truth. And after a week with the people who made it, I cannot wait for the world to meet Kio! #natgeo #natgeolion #gadventures #natgeoexpeditions
