Nazanin KavariAfter 23 years of living in America, I am finally a US permanent resident 🥹🇺🇸 this is something I’ve never shared with you guys. I immigrated to the US at only 2 years old. To not hold permanent residency in the only country I’ve ever known has always weighed so heavy on my heart. I grew up here, graduated high school here, own my home, pay my taxes, own my business, birthed 3 American citizens, etc. It’s like being in this weird limbo. If I was to (God forbid) get deported, my entire life would be ripped away from me. I am thankful for my journey and to come to the USA as an immigrant. It completely shaped my mindset, my work ethic, and more. According to @forbes immigrants paid over $500 billion in taxes 2021 and 22% of all US entrepreneurs are immigrants. There are 3.6 million dreamers (kids who immigrated here without status) in America, and only 530,000 of them are protected under DACA. That’s only a small percentage. DACA recipients have contributed over 140 BILLION dollars to the United States economy. As you all know, I’m currently working on my foundation to support immigrants, especially young women who are pursuing entrepreneurship. I vow to be your voice, and to bring awareness. I can’t wait until we are ready to start. One huge thing with gaining my permanent residency is being able to TRAVEL outside the US 🙌🏼 I’m so excited to see the world 🥹 I’ve missed out on so many memories, so many opportunities due to a reason that was completely out of my control. I feel like I can finally breathe. This was truly one of the best days of my life. Thank you God 🤍
