National GeographicPresented by @ROLEX. Pangolins are excellent diggers—they have to be, to get to the tens of thousands of ants and termites a day that make up their diet. National Geographic photographer Marcus Westburg filmed this pangolin at the Tikki Hywood Foundation in Zimbabwe, which works to rehabilitate and rewild these animals, which are among the most trafficked mammals on Earth. Through its partnership with the National Geographic Society and as part of its Perpetual Planet Initiative, #Rolex supports expeditions exploring and protecting remarkable places around the world, a selection of which are featured in #AfricaEarthsWildHome. #PerpetualPlanet Learn more about the efforts to save Africa's vanishing pangolins in the October edition of National Geographic at the 🔗 in bio.
