As winter turns to spring, baby bears start to emerge from their dens, from the high Arctic all the way down to the alpine meadows of the boreal forest. At just a few weeks old, they are at their most vulnerable, and the mom must keep a vigilant eye out for other bears. I’m super excited to be traveling to Slovakia in a few weeks to film the brown bears emerging from their dens. In the meantime, here are a few seconds of joy from this mom and her cubs.
