Because far too often we see the glitz and glamour of people’s humble brags and think we’re doing something wrong, or it just won’t happen for me. WRONG! Financial wellness takes time. Especially when you are navigating financial trauma, systemic inequities and the every day demands of life. I started my personal finance journey at 25 years old in 2023. I had a negative $50,000 dollar net worth. Today I am half way to my major money milestone. Back then all I wanted to do was pay off my loans and buy a house. It took TEN YEARS of work. Not 30 days, not 1 year and definitely not overnight. Can it be done quicker… yes. But my timeline is solely MY timeline. And yours is for you.
