Millennial In DebtYou know around here we’re team: do what works best for you! So there will be NO renter bashing in these comments ! CNBC just released an article about the 10 worst places in the US to be a renter. The data was put together by RentCafe who ranked 136 U.S cities on metrics such as: 🏢Average apartment size 💼Local unemployment rate 📊New business growth The best cities to rent in ideally offer strong local economies and sizable apartments at a reasonable price (No wonder New York cities rank so heavy on the list) The scoring system used 20 different metrics across 3 categories: cost of living, local economy, and quality of life. Detroit has been labeled the worst city for renters, because even though they have some of the most notably affordable units on the market (average ret is $1,215 a month) they have very high unemployment rates and a low average income ($26,371) What do the rent prices look like in your city? #moneytok #rent #rentprices
