I dont think hes truly the 🍑🕳️ here and this conversation not only requires nuance but perhaps professional suppoet as well This is going to take a decent amount of financial and emotional vulnerabilty from both of tnem to come to some sort of agreement or understanding so they can move forward together as a team.
