✍️⬇️ “Meet Edith. My almost 4-year-old, strong-willed, independent, funny little girl, who just so happens to have Down syndrome.“ This Down Syndrome Awareness Month, mum-of-two Kate opens her heart and shares her family’s journey with us. “When Edith was born I intended to breastfeed, but it wasn’t easy. We soon opted to bottle feed, but milk poured out of her mouth. We tried MAM bottles and lo and behold, Edith could drink from them perfectly. In 2024, Edith became quite unwell. She stopped drinking milk and she lost a lot of weight. We were referred to a dietitian and Edith was prescribed PaediaSure. PaediaSure is a nutritional shake that provides Edith with all the nutrients that she doesn’t get from food. She would drink these from her MAM bottles and thankfully over the following months, began to put weight on again. Edith is now nearly four years old and still relies on Paediasure from her MAM bottles as her main nutritional intake. Without them, she may have needed tube feeding. So thank you, MAM. For not only designing bottles that have allowed my Edith girl to stay alive, but for also making feeding a little easier in a journey that has been anything but that.” #DownSyndromeAwareness 💙
