Jasmine & MusashiAfter more than a decade of working in some of the most inspiring kitchens, I’ve decided to take a break from restaurants. I still see myself as a chef first and always will, but I’m calling this time a sabbatical. For the time being, I’m shifting my focus toward projects that let me share more of my perspective outside of the walls of a restaurant: recipe testing, content creation, and pop-ups. These opportunities give me the space to experiment, to push my creativity in new directions, and most importantly — to bring you along for the ride. This wasn’t an easy decision. Restaurants have been my home for 10+ years, and I never imagined doing anything else. But what I’ve realized is that stepping away right now allows me to keep growing, while still honoring the path that brought me here. None of this would be possible without the support I’ve been surrounded by. Jasmine, who has been my partner in every sense; our families, who cheer us on in ways big and small; and so many of you — whether we’ve crossed paths at a pop-up, exchanged a quick hello on the street, or connected through this platform. Your encouragement has made this transition feel not only possible, but exciting. So this isn’t a farewell. It’s the beginning of a new chapter — one where I can keep learning, keep cooking, and keep sharing with all of you in a different way. Thank you for giving me the privilege to take this leap. I can’t wait to show you what’s next. ❤️ Musashi 👨🏻🍳
