Lindsey VonnWhat’s going on here?…. I’m testing my lactate levels. Lactate (lactic acid) is the byproduct of our cellular metabolism. It accumulates in our muscles when we exercise. It’s that burning feeling in your legs/body when we are fatigued. (I’m not a sports scientist but this is how I would describe it) The more efficient you are, the harder you can work with a lower lactate. Meaning, the more in shape you are, the harder you can work before you get tired. Training at the right lactate zones is a pretty standard way for athletes to train. But since I posted my bruised ear, a lot of people had questions… so, that’s the answer. Hope that explains it. 😁💪🏻 happy hump day!
