Joel SartoreAt six inches long and weighing less than half a pound, the Egyptian fruit bat is quite small; but you wouldn’t know that by looking at their wingspan, which reaches nearly two feet! These bats create large colonies, often with more than 1,000 members, and are believed to be the most vocal of all bat species, emitting high-pitched squeals and clicks when searching for food. #bat #fruitbat #Egyptian #vocal #nocturnal #animal #wildlife #video #footage #reel #PhotoArk
