Joel SartoreGigi, a two-week-old baby snow monkey, clings to one of her favorite stuffed animals. When she was born, Gigi’s mom did a great job holding and caring for Gigi, but would not allow her to nurse. As a result, keepers had to step in and bottle-feed Gigi until she was strong enough to be reunited with her mom. Stuffed toys like this one are often used by zookeepers caring for young primates to keep infants from imprinting on humans.
