Joel SartoreWrinkled hornbills are monogamous and remain part of a mated pair for life. When they have chicks, the female will plaster over the entrance to the nest, which rests in a tree hollow, enclosing herself and the chicks inside to keep everyone safe from potential predators. Using a small hole left in the wall, the male will feed his family, making sure they have the nutrients they need to survive.
