For the first couple years of life juvenile Peruvian spider monkeys depend heavily on their mothers for everything from protection and transportation, to vital nutrients obtained through mom’s milk. Once weaned, these primates will become important gardeners of their forested homes, consuming and dispersing the intact seeds of over 130 species of fruit. #monkey #spidermonkey #primate #animal #wildlife #young #endangered #video #footage #PhotoArk
