Chile mountain false toads belong to the family Calyptocephalellidae which split from all other modern amphibians during the age of the dinosaurs about 130 million years ago. An endangered species, this false toad is extremely elusive - after being formally discovered in the 1890s it wasn’t seen again for nearly 100 years. #toad #falsetoad #frog #amphibian #chile #mountain #endangered #animal #wildlife #video #PhotoArk
