Jessica Marie GarciaThis year has been so tough on our entire community and for many reasons we weren’t going to have La Posada ‘25. But one of the greatest acts of resistance is to be joyful and to celebrate who we are. One of the most beautiful things about being Latino is the fact we don’t quit when things get tough, we fight back. Nothing makes me happier than to see our people thrive and achieve things no one else thought we could. We work hard and we play harder. This year our Posada meant more to us than the years before because this year we NEEDED it. We needed a safe place to be together and to celebrate each other. This year we honored the incredibly talented @iamtonatiuh who deserves all their flowers RIGHT NOW! So many of us are scared and unsure about what the future holds for our community but it’s overwhelming apparent that we have each other’s backs like never before.
