sean bankheadd’angelo i don’t often get teary eyed when celebrities pass, but the news of your passing has hit me in my soul. the soul and sound that birthed who i REALLY am as a artist, musician, choreographer. i’ve done so many pieces to your music. some the world has seen. others that are sitting in the drafts of my mind that are so smooth and well thought out to your perfectly crafted scores but have yet to be shared with the world. your music is what carved the first real path of how i created and what kind of music really fed me. id say when i first found my groove was when i started creating to your music. enough so that i just HAD to share it with the world when i could. your lyrics, musicianship, funk, groove, soul. my aquarian brother. i felt you deeply. i kid you not, your music is still played everyday in my home. when i need peace. when i want to feel funky or sexy. when i want to feel like a master of my craft i turn to your music. brown sugar, voodoo, black messiah…10/10 albums. this piece again being 10 years ago, you already see so many bones and structures and pockets that were birthed back then that are signature of who i am today because of your music.
