John Wickyour tooth enamel is made mostly of minerals, especially hydroxyapatite. when acids from bacteria, food, or drinks lower the pH in your mouth, minerals can dissolve from the enamel. saliva helps buffer those acids and supplies minerals that support natural remineralization. some toothpaste formulas containing hydroxyapatite are designed to support this process. #hydroxyapatite #enamelremineralization #dentaleducation #oralbiology #toothenamel #dentalscience #learnontiktok
