Haylee Alexis Baldwinspend the day with me on a solo cruise exploring the British Virgin Islands!! ☀️🐓🌊 if there’s one thing this cruise has taught me, it’s how much freedom there is on the other side of fear. between snorkeling in the USVI and this hike in the BVI, I’ve found myself falling in love with something I spent my entire life being afraid of: the ocean. for as long as I can remember, I’ve never really ventured past my hips in the water, let alone allowed myself to fully swim, let go, and feel comfortable in the ocean… but year has been full of moments that have challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that fear can only hold you back if you let it. I’ve developed such a love for facing the things that scare me because I’m realizing just how much life we can miss out on when we allow fear to make our decisions for us. the tight spaces and ocean elements of this hike would have been more than enough to make the old me turn around and say, “he!! no” but that’s exactly why I was so excited to do it! I’m learning that sometimes the things that intimidate us the most are the very things we need to experience. you don’t overcome fear by waiting until you’re no longer afraid. you overcome it by showing up, taking the leap, and proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought. here’s to doing more of the things that scare me, saying yes to the unfamiliar, and discovering just how much life is waiting on the other side of my comfort zone🌊🤍 so thank you @Virgin Voyages for this amazing experience and life lesson 🙏
