Tap your screen, hold down for AE/AF Lock, and drag the little sun icon down just a hair. This stops your camera from randomly auto-adjusting the lighting and keeps your background from looking blown out. 2️⃣ Wipe your lens every single time! A tiny tip that makes a massive difference. Skin oils and pocket lint create a soft, hazy fog over your footage that editing can’t fix. A quick wipe with a microfiber cloth instantly restores that crystal-clear contrast. 3️⃣ Use the rear camera only. The front selfie camera is tempting, but the back lenses have significantly better sensors for low light and color depth. Prop up a small mirror behind your phone if you need to see your framing! 4️⃣ Turn on the camera grid. Go into your settings and toggle the grid on to master the “rule of thirds.” It’s the easiest way to ensure your product placement looks perfectly centered, symmetrical, and visually satisfying. 5️⃣ Ditch the digital zoom. Pinching the screen to zoom in instantly destroys your video resolution and makes it grainy. If you need a closer shot of a texture or label, physically move your phone closer to the product instead. 6️⃣ Uncheck ‘high efficiency’ format! Go into your camera settings under “Formats” and switch it to “Most Compatible.” This stops your phone from saving files in a way that sometimes messes with color grading or glitches when you upload to editing apps. 7️⃣ The 1080p export trick. Uploading raw 4K files to Instagram will result in the app’s compression algorithm turning them muddy and blurry. Instead, shoot your footage in 4K for maximum detail, but export your final edit in 1080p so it uploads flawlessly crisp. What’s your favorite iPhone camera hack?
