Henry GaleaI travel a lot, and I’m the type of person who sees a beautiful plant abroad and immediately thinks… “how do I get this home?” 😂🌿 Turns out, that’s exactly the kind of thing we should think twice about. Plants, seeds, cuttings, fruit, vegetables and even soil can carry pests and diseases that we can’t always see — and bringing them back from abroad can put local plants, crops and even our food supply at risk. So I’m keeping this one in mind from now on: See a plant you love? Take the photo, not the plant. 📸🌱 Malta is participating in the #PlantHealth4Life campaign through The Food Safety and Security Authority within the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply, which is dedicated to conserving and improving the health of indigenous plants. @onehealth_eu #PlantHealth4Life EFSA Plant Health FAQ: https://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/plh4l/frequently-asked-questions | Ad
