glassdoorImprov training was never meant for comedians alone. It was created to help people feel confident and adaptable in dynamic situations. Here’s how to borrow improv skills for your next interview, courtesy of coach @itshollymandel. 1. Prioritize presence over perfection When you’re chasing the perfect answer, you leave the room mentally. Stay present so that you can go with the flow. 2. Listen for clues, not approval Interviewers often tell you what they want mid-question. Instead of pushing through with your pre-planned answer, pivot accordingly. 3. Practice saying “yes, and…” It’s about staying open. Accept the premise, then build your answer from there. 4. Dial up your warmth and energy Charisma = competence + warmth + energy. Qualifications matter, but so does your vibe in the room (or Zoom call). Like any other skill, thinking on your feet can be practiced. Good luck! #InterviewTips #JobSearchAdvice #CareerGrowth #InterviewPrep #ProfessionalDevelopment
