Eyes of BelgaWhen you see the final result of a photoshoot, you don’t necessarily realize how much work goes on behind the scenes. But there’s actually a lot When you want to add unusual elements to your photoshoots, like a skull, you can obviously buy one if you have the budget. But they can be expensive sometimes very expensive. So, when you want to create something without spending too much money, you have to be creative and find alternative solutions. Model @noemi.________ The first step was to design the skull using 3D modeling software. I didn’t do it myself, but luckily, I know someone who was able to create it for me. We then printed it using a @bambulab_official P2S 3D printer. Honestly, it’s amazing! It was one of the first times I had printed an object specifically for a photoshoot, and I really enjoyed the experience. The final result worked very well. Once the skull was printed, we checked its size. The person who designed it had taken measurements beforehand, but we still needed to make sure it would fit properly over someone’s head. It works best on people with a smaller head size, but it fits! I already had a location in mind: I wanted to create this photoshoot in the water, on a beach. I imagined an explorer emerging from the water, wearing bandages and the skull on her head, with a slightly post apocalyptic, survival-style atmosphere. Because the photoshoot was taking place in the water, I needed a suitable light. I chose the @nanlux_official Evoke 5C, which comes with a small underwater housing. I think it’s fantastic! At full power, the battery lasts approximately one to one and a half hours, which is very convenient. The kit also includes several accessories, but what interested me most was its compact, practical, and waterproof design. It’s small enough not to take up too much space in the frame, and the final result works really well. We also added candles to create an additional light source and enhance the model’s face.
