BreeFirst time visiting Marrakech and Ouarzazate and I’m hooked. Today we visited Ksar Aït Benhaddou—a fortified village built in the 11th century, rising from the edge of the Sahara along the old caravan trade route between Marrakech and the desert. ✨🇲🇦 @Visit_morocco_ “Ksar” means fortified village, and this one is carved almost entirely from mud, clay, and straw, blending perfectly into the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and a reminder that entire civilizations once thrived right here.
