BreeShoshone Falls nicknamed the “Niagara of the West” sits at 212 feet in height, surpassing Niagara Falls. 😳 We stopped over to check out this beauty while on a road-trip from California to Montana to see some of our favorite bands play on the 4th. The falls are truly a sight to see and we lucked out with a colorful sunset too. Shoshone Falls is named after the Shoshone (also spelled Shoshoni) Native American tribe. The falls are located on the Snake River, and the Shoshone people, particularly the Lemhi Shoshone, relied on the river’s salmon runs for sustenance. The falls also served as a significant gathering place for the tribe for both food and spiritual purposes. __ #shoshonefalls #idaho #roadtripusa
