ESALook closely… a ghostly figure seems to be lurking among the cosmic clouds. Hubble and Webb turned their eyes towards the Cat’s Head Nebula, a star-forming region about 7,500 light-years away in the Carina Nebula. Seen at different wavelengths, each view reveals the region in a different light. 🐈⬛✨ 1️⃣ Webb, mid-infrared: highlights warm dust and intricate structures within the nebula. 2️⃣ Hubble: visible light reveals the dark cloud of gas and dust. 3️⃣ Webb, near-infrared: peers through the dust, revealing many more stars. Who knew the cosmos could be this spooky? 🎃 Send this to someone who loves the spooky side of space 👻 📸 NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI. Image Processing: J. Depasquale (STScI) 📸 NASA, ESA, STScI.
