What she walked into was heartbreaking. But the moments that followed of quiet comfort, gentle presence, and real connection were powerful. Katie ended up spending two full days at the airport rotating between Ellie and Emma, sitting with families in their deepest pain. I’m so proud of her. Even while I was out of town, she showed up with such selflessness and heart. We continue to hold every family affected in our thoughts and prayers.
