However, that is no excuse to not be cleansing your eyelashes twice daily just like you should be doing with the rest of your face.β£ β£ Iβm not sure if you guys know how much gunk and buildup can build up in your eyelashes in just a 24 hour period. Between eye creams, foundation, powder, and everything thatβs floating in the air, your lashes definitely get dirty.β£ β£ And if you donβt want to end up with bacterial overgrowth, inflammation and/or an infection in the eyelids (blepharitis), or lashes full of demodex mites then please follow these steps:β£ β£ 1οΈβ£ You absolutely have to cleanse your lashes twice daily with either a gentle cleanser or a lash shampoo (Iβm using eye makeup remover here)β£ 2οΈβ£ Using a q-tip can help to get close to the lash lineβ£ 3οΈβ£ Let your lashes air dry or you can gently wick away moisture with a tissue (but no heat) β£ 4οΈβ£ Gently brush with a lash wand to make sure their not catching on each other β£ 5οΈβ£ A great alternative is magnetic lashes if youβre not ready for lash extensions β£ 6οΈβ£When in doubt ask your cosmetologist β£ β£ Are these tips helpful? β£ β£ #LashExtensions #DirtyLashes #LashTips #CleanLashes #DirtyEyelashes #LashCare #EyelashExtensions #cleanyourlashes #nationaleyelashday #washyourlashes
