Cosmopolitan

But you already know that, given how searingly universal @Audrey Hobert’s lyrics are on her 2025 debut album, #WhostheClown. She’s a master storyteller who sings about silent, coming-of-age nightmares in an elegant, upbeat way—“Sue me, I want to be wanted” is, after all, the lyric of a generation. And she knows how powerful her pen really is, telling Cosmo, “The longer I do this job, the more I am sure that I am a writer, more than a performer, more than anything else.” We sat down with the pop princess to talk about everything from the worst dates she’s been on to her writing process to what love looks like with her boyfriend.
