charitycroffWhen we grow up in families where we faced consistent criticism and our parents always wanted us to be “excellent” we end up operating from a consistent vibration of shame, blame and guilt. We learn that things can always be “improved” or made “better” and so we spend our lives viewing ourselves as a repair project. But when you look at yourself through that lens then you’re never allowed to just be who you are. Everything becomes you vying for acceptance or approval that you “did a good job” and you’re never just a free person. You deserve to finally love yourself even if your parents never got around to it #selfhelp #healing #childhoodtrauma #selflove #selfacceptance #becoming #mentalwellness #mentalhealth
