Catt ❤️People really hate when you’re single and at peace. They’ll ask, “When are you going to settle down?” As if being alone means something is wrong with you. Let’s be honest, a lot of people aren’t telling you to settle down…they’re telling you to settle period. Settle for whoever is available. Settle for whoever is willing. Settle just so you can say you’re with someone, starting a family or getting married. And I’m not doing that. Yes, I want love one day. Yes, I want marriage and a family. But it’s not going to be with just anybody. I’m not rushing into something just to meet society’s timeline or make other people comfortable. Right now my mind is focused on my goals, learning myself, and creating new positive memories. At 32, I’m finally getting to enjoy my life and I love that for me. Not everyone will understand and that’s okay. Don’t get it confused, I’m still open and available to finding my person, but I’m not actively searching either. As a spiritual being I believe in the saying, “We don’t chase, we attract.” I’d rather wait for the right person than lower my standards just to avoid being single.
