Catt ❤️2016 ❤️ I was just a 23 year old girl working 4 jobs. I would work 6am - 3pm at Krispy Kreme then 4pm - 12/12:30am at Wawa. Barely getting any sleep. I would work at Wetseal and another shoe boutique to fill my days off or days I didn’t have a Krispy Kreme or Wawa shift. My bank account was hefty, but didn’t do much besides work and spend the little time I had with my family. I became a god mother for the first time. Being in the room while my friend gave birth to my beautiful god daughter made me actually cry its was so beautiful. She was supposed to be born on my birthday but I told her she had to wait and be born the next day so we both could have our own days. Then she was born in the wee hours of the morning the next day. That was the day I became a godmother to not one but three amazing little humans. I miss those days. Back then I knew I would do big things in life and go far but at the time didn’t realize following gods path meant barely seeing my babies and watching them grow. I did a “big chop” before I even knew what it was or that there was a natural hair community. Hair textures didn’t have numbers yet. Before then I had been doing relaxers and stopped because I didn’t like the idea of chemicals on my hair causing effects on my brain. I let my hair grow out long enough before I finally decided to chop off those long string pieces. When relaxed, my hair was very long but over time I straightened it too much it started to become heat damaged. I was so happy for change and to see my hair in a better place. In many ways it was a transformation of self. YouTube era mami!!! People were more supportive and YouTube channels were our instagram stories. While short lived, I would spend the few hours I had off to go in an edit all of my videos and thumbnails. Canva didn’t exist. I would go in and erase all of the backgrounds and put all of the overlays in myself. Definitely a time. So much has changed since then. I’m considering coming back to YouTube again after so many relaunches. What do you think?! Overall, not much has changed. Afro bigger, traveled more, work hard less jobs, godmom to 7, still hot, funny, authentic. #2016 #2016throwback #2016vibes #2016makeup #fyp
