Cat Janice2 Years of Modern Medicine "I looked back at all the songs I had written, and saw that I had created a vocal diary of my healing process. It’s kind of an oxymoron because I’m going through experimental cancer treatment, and that treatment has taken away a lot from me, not just my physical appearance but my emotional and mental health. Medicine is supposed to fix you, or help you at least, right? it almost seems that I am not healing. But I do feel that I’ve healed more emotionally and even physically from writing this music than I have from any actual medicine I’ve received since beginning this battle. I believe that is a testament to the fact I’ve allowed myself to really feel my pain and process the emotions through writing this music. Feeling is healing and that’s the true medicine here. The title Modern Medicine comes from the final track I wrote on the album, Wishing I Was You." #catjanice #catjanicemusic #fyp
