I used to do whatever I could to keep her in the cart while we shopped from my own fear of her getting into everything or not being safe but at this age I’ve found that giving her more responsibility and letting her feel like she’s helping keeps her busy, learning and having fun. I think sometimes when our children “act out” our throw tantrums it’s not always disobedience or disrespect but them trying to tell us that they can handle more than we think. We should want them to grow and show what their capable of while guiding them back when they get off track.
