🦋Billie-Louise🦋Back story ~ I was never the center of attention, the popular girl or even ever considered by the boys at school. I remember being 15 and being the center of a joke in my chemistry class surrounded by a lot of so called “friends” and not one sticking up for me letting me laugh along not having a single clue that in actual fact a class of near enough 25 students were laughing at my expense. I was never the bring a friend for my friend but the friend that was brought along because she was “funny” or made others feel better. I remember being 13 and thinking if I made myself go quiet, not speak, not answer questions and lose every part of who I was as a person I would just be acknowledged for being the quiet girl. I had friends I suppose but no one I could ever express how it felt to be plus size surrounded by a bunch of friends who were half if not a quarter of my size. I tried everything I remember being 11 the first time I signed up to a gym, I was active enough but my eating habits held me back. I remember when I first discovered dance and regained my love for it after hating it when I was younger due to the judgement from other girls in my classes. I wasn’t me unless I was creating choreography and planning our outfits for shows. I specifically remember the 2 PE teachers who constantly barked down my throat for not being able to do specific parts of their lessons but questioned me and my ability to dance which usually would be at my capability and level so I could participate, I remember they would ridicule me for the constant pain I had in my knees and ankles after having to rely on one leg after I broke my ankle which resulted in further issues down the line. I remember everything that was ever said against me and my weight. I remember the comments of “I’m surprised there wasn’t more hate” when I started posting a few TikTok’s here and there when I was at school. Society has taken enough from me. Making me go through constant cycles of hiding my body, restricting, feeling pressured to lose the weight and not enjoy just being a kid/ teenager and I’m sick of it. I don’t want to meet society’s standards I just want to be me. Yes I have a skin condition, my hairs not perfect, it’s coloured purple but so what it’s not damaging anyone is it? I’m doing what’s best for me. I want to be strong, I want to have the muscles and yes I do want to lose the weight but that’s due to me and my own reasons and not due to what anyone has to say. I have worked so damn hard to get to where I am and nothing can take away from that. So take this as a lesson from me… 🫶🏼don’t just do something to follow suit 🫶🏼you are perfect the way you are 🫶🏼you don’t have to meet society’s standards 🫶🏼do whatever tf makes you happy 🫶🏼never let someone make you believe you can’t do it 🫶🏼and most importantly fùćķ society and their “ideal” version of where and what you should be in life Take the reigns of your own life and make the most of it.
