Anika Van ZylPoppy’s Story🐑💖 Poppy, a tiny premature lamb, was left behind by her mother because she couldn’t keep up. Alone in a big field, I took her in and cared for her. She quickly became my happiest, cutest little lamb, jumping around whenever she got her milk. But then she got sick—bloated and refusing milk due to a bacterial infection. I mixed her milk with plain yogurt and added electrolytes, and it worked! She got better, though some of her wool fell out, it grew back fast. Poppy never grew large, staying the size of a Staffie dog, but she’s now healthy and helps raise other orphan lambs. She has my heart. 💕#lamb #orphanlamb #farmlife #farm #babylamb #nature
