Alycha FaithThis year, showing up online has brought me so many new opportunities and work and I’m forever grateful for that… I’ve stayed true to my creative side by painting, sewing and taking photos, naturally. But even though this is true, I’ve definitely struggled to juggle this alongside being a content creator for other brands. Somewhere along the way I feel like I’ve lost a part of myself. Sharing the aesthetic parts of life online can feel lonely and isolating. And even with a big follower count, I find myself lacking a sense of belonging and community. We all share content online with the hopes of being seen and valued, but it often feels shallow and quiet afterwards. As this year comes to an end, it’s my goal to let go of the fear of how other people perceive me (which is hard as a perfectionist) and just post whatever I want/what makes me happy. With all of this said, I’m happy to be back on TikTok and I look forward to talking some more- I’ve just created a Substack account specifically for this. I’d love to hear your opinions on this and thank you if you read this far! 💗 #substack #tiktokcommunity #feellikemyselfagain
