Alisha KaurAlopecia awareness š¤ I really wanted to post a more raw video showing the extent of my alopecia right now. I feel like Iāve always been known for my hair and built my social media and career around hair tutorials and tips so this has genuinely been one of the hardest things Iāve dealt with. My hair has always felt like such a big part of my identity, so losing it has been really overwhelming at times. But honestly Iām just soo grateful that thereās growth again, Iām finally starting to feel like myselfš Hair loss can feel so isolating, especially when you donāt know anyone else going through the same thing or you donāt understand why itās happening. And the unpredictable nature of alopecia areata can be really scary. Iāve been dealing with this on and off for the past 3 years, I promise you youāre not alone and it doesnāt define you. So many more people are going through this than you realise. If youāre dealing with hair loss right now, please donāt lose hope. Your hair doesnāt define your worth, your beauty or who you are as a person. I know how lonely it can feel and if this helps even one person feel less alone then itās worth it. I promise it does get better and donāt let anyone tell you thereās no hope or nothing you can do. There are treatments and things you can try to help manage it and so many have never got it again.
