AlexiskristianaOne of my favorite parts about homeschooling in New York is figuring out how to make the city itself part of our curriculum. My second grader is studying New York history and geography this year, so I’ve been looking for experiences that can take those subjects off the page and make them feel real. I spent the day exploring @edgenyc and already started thinking about all the ways I could turn this into a lesson NYC landmarks, Manhattan geography, architecture, the skyline, the Hudson River and how the city has grown over time. And honestly, this is one of the things I love most about homeschooling here. Sometimes planning school looks a lot less like sitting at a desk and a lot more like exploring New York. Definitely adding Edge to our fall homeschool plans. @edgenyc #edgenyc
