AlexiskristianaOne thing I’ve learned since moving our family of five back to NYC is that making a smaller home work has way less to do with square footage and way more to do with how you use it. We have so much within a few minutes of our apartment, which means our neighborhood really becomes an extension of our home. And inside, we’ve tried to make every space work for the way we actually live the living room can be a place to relax, play baseball, get some movement in, have movie nights… whatever we need that day. With three kids, every space has a purpose, but it doesn’t have to stay the same purpose all day. And honestly, that’s been one of my favorite parts of figuring out NYC living again. Less space hasn’t meant less life over here. If anything, we’re learning how much life we can fit into it. If you have ANY questions about living in an NYC apartment with kids, raising kids in the city, downsizing, or just our move back in general comment or DM me. I’m always happy to share more of our journey. Next up I think I’ll show how we reset the kids, playroom and bedroom over the weekend ahead of the week! #nycfamily #nycmom #nyckids #nycapartments #smallspaceliving
